Sarah Marie Smith is a Tennessee Supreme Court Listed Mediator and Group Facilitator. She served on TAPM’s Board of Directors from 2014-2017, serving as Secretary for two of those years.
Ms. Smith did her undergraduate work at Middle Tennessee State University, where she served as Vice-President of Student Government and was awarded Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities. She received a master’s degree in Conflict Management from Lipscomb University, where she was a member of the Alpha Chi National Honor Society.
After graduating from MTSU, Ms. Smith worked in Atlanta, Miami, and Los Angeles as a flight attendant, actress, writer, teacher. When she returned to Tennessee, she worked with an employee benefits corporation managing the procurement, enrollment, client relations, and dispute resolution for corporate and university accounts in Tennessee and Atlanta.
Her current and past affiliations include Rotary Club; Leadership Opportunity Smith County; Smith County Chamber of Commerce; Smith County Historical Society, Vice-President; CASA Wilson/Smith Counties, Board of Directors; and Screen Actors Guild.
In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her canine buddy, Mr. Puppy, and spending time with family and friends.
Ms. Smith received a master’s degree in Conflict Management from Lipscomb University. She completed Rule 31 Training for both Civil Mediation and Family Mediation and has participated in continuing education courses for the past eight years.
