Lynette Edwards began serving as the District Public Guardian under the East Tennessee Area Agency on Aging and Disability in 2017.
Before becoming Public Guardian, she served as the District Long-Term Care Ombudsman for the East Tennessee District. Lynette first joined the East Tennessee Human Resource Agency as the Title III Attorney for the Legal Assistance for the Elderly Program in 2005.
Lynette received her B.A from Harding University, and her J.D. from The University of Tennessee College of Law. She is a Rule 31 Civil Mediator, and has a passion for working with the elderly.
