I am, like many people these days, newly transplanted in Tennessee, and relaunching my career as a mediator, which I began while pursuing my joint degrees in law and public health at the George Washington University in the 1990’s. After graduation, I spent four years in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, much of which time was spent on mediating conflicts of laws between the federal government and state commissioners of insurance. After separating from federal service, I began my mommy-track career, running my own fitness instructor training company, during which time I branded Poolates(R) and certified instructors worldwide in my method of aquatic Pilates. I have continued to teach Pilates as well as other forms of wellness and mindfulness, while homeschooling two special needs competitive figure skaters. As they are now both in high school, I am able to commit to building my mediation practice, as, beyond my family, ADR has always been where my passion lies. My concentration is health care and family mediation.
