Bio/Background

Merry Brown is a writer, speaker, mediator, podcast host, and philosopher. She taught philosophy in St. Louis, MO and Martin, TN for 23 years. Mid-pandemic she decided to make a work change, though she had been contemplating the change for years. While Merry absolutely love teaching philosophy, she found wanting the second act of her work-life to focus on helping people have positive work environments through facilitating adult-to-adult conversations about difficult issues.

If you work with people, you will have conflict. It’s inevitable. Many people don’t know how to respond to conflicts in work environments. Merry works to empower people and companies to make workplaces freer of negative festering conflicts and instill a culture that addresses difficulties in a manner that treats all people with dignity and respect.

Merry is the host and producer of the podcast Conflict Managed. It’s a podcast about toxic work environments and how to fix them. She is also active on TikTok, making 1-minute videos about how to address workplace conflict (@3pconflictrestoration).

Her latest book is, THE FOOD ADDICT: RECOVERING FROM BINGE EATING DISORDER & MAKING PEACE WITH FOOD. She has two fun young adult series. The first is The Exiled Trilogy: THE KNOWERS, THE SECOND FALL, THE UNITED. The other series is The Four Families: GOLD MANOR GHOST HOUSE, CRIMSON HALL GHOST HOUSE, SILVER TREE GHOST HOUSE, AND SERPENT STAR GHOST HOUSE (forthcoming spring 2024).
