The Super-Helper Syndrome: A Survival Guide for Compassionate People
This session explores how to take better care of the mediator, using the lens of The Super-Helper Syndrome. We’ll look at the underlying beliefs that maintain a strong compulsion to help, how well-intentioned professionals can become caught in patterns of over-responsibility, and how a habitual focus on others can slowly pull us away from our own centre. Jess will explain how deconstructing these beliefs, alongside practical ways to develop a healthier helper mindset through compassionate boundaries. We’ll also explore how self-compassion supports clarity, resilience, and sustainability in the role.
