Our annual spring conference returns on April 10 with a full day dedicated to strengthening and expanding the everyday practices mediators rely on. This year’s theme, Deepening Your Mediator’s Toolkit, explores the complexities of today’s mediation work.

Three of our five speakers are:

  • Dr. Anthony Mazzella will offer a grounded look at narcissism in mediation. Drawing on his clinical work, national teaching, and his podcast The Narcissism Decoder, he will help us think through personality-driven conflict and how mediators can respond with steadiness and clarity.
  • Marie Coombes will guide a session on trauma-informed mediation. With more than 300 mediations across sectors and deep experience in mental well-being, Marie brings practical insight into conflict, stress responses, and the realities people carry into mediation spaces.
  • Christine Miles will lead an afternoon session on listening. As the creator of The Listening Path™ and author of What Is It Costing You Not to Listen?, Christine helps mediators strengthen the skills that uncover meaning and reduce misunderstanding.

In addition to our highlighted speakers, the conference will include sessions on mediation ethics and family mediation, along with our annual awards and time to connect with colleagues from across the state.
